How we handle your data

1. WHO WE ARE

2. WHAT WE COLLECT

We collect the personal data you voluntarily provide when you contact us (name, email, phone, organisation), together with the substance of any message you send us. For clients, we collect the information necessary to discharge our retainer and to comply with our statutory obligations (including AML/KYC where applicable). We use third-party analytics that collect anonymised usage data about the website.

3. HOW WE USE IT

We use personal data to respond to your enquiry, conduct conflict checks, provide legal services you have engaged us for, and meet our statutory obligations. We do not use your data for marketing except where you have explicitly subscribed to our Insights list.

4. WHO WE SHARE WITH

We do not sell or disclose personal data to third parties, except where necessary to provide our services (for example, co-counsel, court filing, or bank and tax authorities for AML where applicable). We require any such recipients to treat the data confidentially.

5. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to access, correct, and (subject to our legal and regulatory retention obligations) request the deletion of your personal data. Please contact the Data Protection Officer at dpo@jirehlawllc.com to exercise these rights.

6. RETENTION

We retain client files for seven years from the conclusion of the matter, in line with the Legal Profession Act. Enquiry correspondence not leading to a retainer is deleted after 12 months.
